Sustainability Challenges We Face
At Greenleaf Cosmetics, sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. We've developed six areas of sustainability that guides our approach to eco-conscious skincare and ethical beauty. This framework promotes transparent, critical reflection on the environmental challenges we face, helping us create real, measurable change across our entire business — from formulation and packaging to supply chain and waste reduction.
Sustainability is our future
We're committed to protecting the environment and preventing pollution through responsible product development, intelligent formulation, reduced energy consumption, and alternative packaging solutions. We actively use reconditioned plastic drums, IBCs, and recycled pallets wherever possible, and partner with accredited waste companies to process soft plastics, cardboard, and raw ingredient containers responsibly. Our war on waste extends from factory floor to office, encouraging efficiency and staff-driven sustainability initiatives. All water used in manufacturing is professionally treated, and we operate rechargeable electric equipment in our warehouse to support a safer, cleaner working environment.
Why is sustainable manufacturing important to us?
According to UN projects there will be more than 10 billion people living on Earth by the year 2100. The rise of the population means that the strain on the earths finite resources will be pushed to breaking point with irreversible consequences. This is why we believe it is imperative that we make Eco-conscious choices today so that we may prosper into the future.
